For over 20 years, we’ve been serving the kind of street food that keeps locals coming back and tourists curious.
In 2008, a kiosk at Kupferschmiedgasse 1b was set up – modest in scale, but defining in impact. Its golden-clad design laid the visual and functional foundation for what would later become ZGW
In 2015, in collaboration with architects Schuberth und Schuberth, we created “Zum Goldenen Würstel” at Vienna’s Graben – the first Würstelstand to be known by name. It wasn’t just a stand anymore. It became a destination.
In 2025, “Zum Goldenen Würstel II” opened just meters from the original. The location was fully reimagined and transformed. With its launch, ZGW wasn’t just growing. It was evolving into a brand
